Most reports come down to one of these, and each has a faster answer than waiting for a reply.
Nothing happens after Start Sharing
iOS leaves its sheet open after you tap Start Sharing, and the subtitle window cannot appear while it is open. Tap the empty space below the sheet: it closes, the subtitle window floats up a few seconds later, and the iPhone goes to the Home Screen. Then open what you were watching.
No subtitles are appearing
Look at the status line above the big button on the main screen: it names whatever is still pending — a model downloading, a language pack not yet installed, or audio not being shared. Check that the video is not muted, and that the red indicator is showing in the status bar, which means audio really is being shared. Recognition works from sound, so heavy background music or several people talking at once will reduce accuracy.
The subtitle window disappeared
iOS allows one Picture in Picture window at a time, so an app that opens its own takes yours over. The audio share keeps running and the button becomes Open Subtitle Window — one tap brings it back.
Why it asks to share your screen
To translate sound playing in another app, start Screen Sharing from Apple's system sheet. Screen translation reads the text in screen images on your device; Live translation uses the microphone. Audio, screen images and translated text are not uploaded. If you choose to record a clip, it is saved to Photos on this device. Privacy Policy · More about Screen Sharing.
Purchases, refunds and subscriptions
All purchases go through Apple, so the developer cannot see your payment details, issue refunds, or cancel a subscription for you. Manage or cancel in Settings › your name › Subscriptions, and request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you bought the lifetime unlock while subscribed, cancel the subscription yourself — Apple does not do it automatically.
